Battleborn Reaches The End of Its Life

Gearbox Software’s FPS / MOBA mash-up Battleborn will see its final update released later this fall and while the servers will remain online “for the foreseeable future” the game will not receive any new content or patches.  Pretty sad for a game that went Free to Play less than three months ago – but remember in Gearbox’s own words, Battleborn was never F2P but simply an “unlimited demo”.  You might remember the short-lived Overwatch Vs. Battleborn “rivalry” that sprung up in May 2016 after both games were slotted...

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak Second Story Trailer – “The Transmission”

Homeworld Deserts of Kharak

The latest Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak trailers contains some rather chilling words from a representative of the antagonistic Gaalsien fleet… “Diplomacy has failed!” It seems as if the forces that chief science officer Rachel S’jet will face in the game’s campaign as she attempts to explore the mystery of an anomaly in the deserts of Kharak are more than ready for a fight. Kath Gaalsien are a major religious sect and antagonists of this latest game, who...

Telltale Games and Gearbox Software have superhero teamed up to bring you what could be a very interesting twist on the Borderlands franchise. Tales from the Borderlands was announced last night at SpikeTV’s VGX Award show and will be released in 2014. For those unfamiliar, but really how could you be, Telltale Games is responsible for the incredible The Walking Dead game (and no, not that other one you’re probably thinking of). If you’re feeling conflicted on whether or not to buy this (if you don’t already have the Season Pass), you can check out this developer diary and see what they have to say about it. Personally I’m stoked about it because as I’ve stated many times before, it combines two of my favorite...

Borderlands 2 – Assault On Dragon Keep Dev Diary

The final piece of DLC in the Borderlands 2 series is nearly here. In fact, it releases next week. If you happened to miss out on the Krieg gameplay video, I highly suggest you check it out here. I’m anticipating Assault On Dragon Keep to be the best of the four DLC’s for quite a few reasons. The most important one is because it’s in Tiny Tina’s ever imaginative head. Yeah, imagine living inside that kids head…...

For those who love this game, such as me, this is a great way to get people back into the game and tide them over until the fourth campaign DLC releases. So, get ready for May 14th when You. Meat. Krieg.

Borderlands 2 Gets Level Cap Increase & Sixth Playable Character

We all knew it was a matter of time before Gearbox Software announced a level cap increase. But we also pondered what the pricing would be. Would it be free for the season pass holders? Are they going to do the insane and make us pay more for it? And when the heck is it going to release? Also, at the beginning of the month they teased a new, 6th playable character as well. When is that...

Celebrate the Luck of the Zafords in Borderlands 2 This Weekend!

Gearbox Software is at it again, offering up some new skins and a SMG for your characters in Borderlands 2. This time it is in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Here is how Gearbox Software describes the holiday in Borderlands terms: Each year, around this time, the Zaford clan takes a break from their war with the Hodunk bandit family to celebrate their good fortune and honor those that have passed on, such as that time Scooter...

Gearbox Teases New Playable Vault Hunter

Again, the word “tease” is the main emphasis here – straight from the Gearbox panel at SXSW. It has been confirmed that this new character will NOT be part of the Season Pass for Borderlands 2. From the brief images in the trailer, it appears this new character is a melee specialist. A release date has not been specified, but Matt Armstrong stated, “DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don’t think you’ll have...

Aliens: Colonial Marines Gets Patched…

…but it still won’t change that Metacritic score, unfortunately for Gearbox and Aliens fans. Probably one of the worst received games in recent times, Aliens: Colonial Marines certainly has had a dismal start. But at least Gearbox is still supporting the game through updates/patches. Read on for the list of patches that rolled out today on Xbox 360 (PS3/PC will be released at a later, unspecified date)

Borderlands 2 Gets Massive Patch on Xbox 360

Gearbox Software has issued a pretty massive patch for the Xbox 360 version of Borderlands 2. Back when the game launched this past September users reported resets in regards to their badass ranking. Surely, this must have been enraging. In a surprising twist Gearbox not only fixed the issue but also added the ability for players to reset all challenges once they have completed at least 85% of them.  You will not be able to earn any...

Borderlands 2 “Graveyard” Issue Patched

The Xb0x 360 community can release a big sigh if relief as Gearbox has now fixed the “graveyard” issue that has been plaguing users here recently. Reported only a few weeks ago, the “graveyard” virus affected players saves – most people losing all of their data. So it is now safe to go online and play public matches once again! Hopefully none of you were affected by this virus. If you were, I hope that doesn’t deter you...

Borderlands Legends Comes Out Of The Vault Today

Launching today on Apples iTunes APP store, you can pick up a quite impressive looking overhead shooter. Borderlands Legends. The game seems to focus on in game cash to buy new weapons instead of gathering loot, but does include leveling up and skill tree goodness. Starring the playable characters from the original Borderlands, gamers play through randomized missions which should hopefully keep replayability up. The iPhone sized version of the game is $4.99, while the iPad edition...
