Team 17’s next Worms title, Worms Revolution, will be shown at this year’s E3 the developer confirmed today. Revolution will also bring some major upgrades in terms of physics with new hazards and dynamic water physics.

The Multiple Ways To Enter The Far Cry 3 Beta

Posted on May 18, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Far Cry 3 left a pretty big impression on me when I saw it running at last year’s Ubisoft Press Conference at E3. It looks like everyone will be able to get their hands on the game later this summer on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

The multiplayer beta allows up to 16 players to compete in several modes including Deathmatch and the Firestorm mode, a mode based around the game’s fire physics. Ubisoft promises six playable classes will be available in the beta along with dozens of weapons.

There are multiple ways for you to enter the beta. Check them out after the jump.Read More

Rayman Origins 3DS Demo Now Available

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Have you been looking for a mobile platforming fix? Ubisoft has released a demo version of Rayman Origins on the 3DS E-Shop. This demo doesn’t skimp on the content either, offering prospective owners 3 full levels from the final game including Swinging Caves, Playing in the Shade and Shooting Me Softly.

The console version of Origins was a critical success and regarded as one of the best Rayman games to date. The 3DS version expands upon what made last year’s console release so great with Street Pass functionality and in game collectables.

The full version of Rayman Origins for the Nintendo 3DS will be released on June 5th at a suggested price of $29.99.

We already knew that the Metal Gear Solid Collection would be making the jump to Vita next month but now we have a more specific window. Solid Snake will make his debut on Sony’s next generation portable on June 15th according to Konami.

The Vita version of Metal Gear Solid Collection will differ slightly from its console counterparts. For one it only includes Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 since Peace Walker can be purchased digital through the PSN already.  Konami has also implemented some touch based controls in both games, giving you the ability to zoom with a sniper rifle or peak around corners, for example.

Check out the full press release after the jump.Read More

Mortal Kombat Vita | Review

Posted on May 16, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Last year’s Mortal Kombat brought the series back from the brink of obscurity and almost self parody. In my opinion Nether Realm Studios not only gave the franchise a much needed shot in the arm by undoing several games worth of changes but made the whole thing more accessible to a whole new generation of fighting fans. Now a full year later can Nether Realm repeat their success with the first fully fledged Mortal Kombat title on a handheld?Read More

THQ Puts Devil’s Third On Hold

Posted on May 15, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The next from boob loving, finger choking Japanese game developer Tomonobu Itagaki has been put on hold  by publisher THQ. Devil’s Third was originally revealed in the summer of 2010 and since then very little information has been released about the game. We do know that it involved a storyline fusing Asian, American and European themes with a sci-fi twist.

THQ has stated that the game will not come out during the first quarter of 2013, meaning that we will have to wait until after April 2013 before we’ll see the game on store shelves.Read More

Diablo III Downtime Trends on Twitter, Enrages Gamers

Posted on May 15, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Diablo III is surely one of the largest game launches we’ve seen in 2012. This could explain not only why the game seems to be everywhere online but why the complaints of players have been heard all around the internet.

The game has not even been available for 24 hours (in North America) and already users have reported slow download speeds on the pre-game launcher, errors logging in and servers shutting down unexpectedly. Blizzard was forced to perform maintenance on Diablo III’s servers at 5:00 Eastern Time this evening and as of the time of writing the game is still down, the game is expected to come back online sometime after 6:30 eastern.Read More

Australian Branch of GAME Enters Administration

Posted on May 14, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The Australian branch of embattled U.K based retailer GAME has entered administration the company confirmed this afternoon. In the short term this means that the company will not be stocking somenew titles such as Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo III. Along with this announcement they also announced that they will be unable to refund customer’s fully paid or partially paid pre-orders.

Entering administration doesn’t mean an immediate end to GAME’s operations downunder. It would be fair to compare the process to bankruptcy protection in the United States. Essentially administration gives GAME a window of time work out agreements with their various creditors.Read More
