Rocket League Receiving New Dropshot Mode In Next Free Update

Posted on March 13, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Psyonix is bringing a brand new mode to Rocket League on March 22nd that does away with goalposts all together. Instead of scoring a goal on a traditional soccer net, the two teams of cars must dribble an electrified ball across the field to open up a hole on their opponents side of the arena. Once a goal is scored on the opponents’ side of things the floor closes back up and everything starts anew.  Oh, and just to make things even more interesting the ball isn’t only electrified but also the ball will continue to build up strength as

Here is a list of all of the power-ups available to players in the new “rumble mode”. The Boot (Kicks an opponent’s car) Disruptor (Forces the opponent to drive uncontrollably) Freezer (Freezes the

Rocket League Championship Series Finals this weekend on Twitch

Posted on August 5, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Rocket League is a staff favorite. It was one of the first things I wrote about. And, I still frequently write about it. So even though I myself am unable to play it at a high level I am always excited to watch it. And, there are none more exciting to watch then the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). Typically the RLCS is one of those things that I would only follow when it updated, but was always sure to catch the finals. those finals are this weekend. Rocket League to get basketball mode

Posted on March 30, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Fan favorite Rocket League recently added morphs to their game, allowing players a fine grain of control over how the ball behaved, what shape it was, how much force boost had, and several other options. Included in these options was an icy preset for a hockey mode, which got me wondering, what else can we play with rocket cars? Well Psyonix has taken that answer to the next level announcing that this April they will be releasing a basketball mode for Rocket League. Break some axles in the Dunk House this April! #RocketLeagueHoops pic.twitter.com/VA23YUEEXM — Rocket League (@RocketLeague) March 29, 2016

Someone has finally gotten outside of a Rocket league map

Posted on February 1, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Wasteland is one of many Rocket League maps, it happens to be themed after, A wasteland… big surprise right? Well now someone has manged to get in to the world outside of rocket leagues shielded and enclosed arena, and see what the world outside looks like. The person in question is Redditor UncomfortableNPC who posted the video on the quite active Rocket League subreddit. Usually when you exit a levels geometry, you will find a nice skybox, some unpainted terrain, or a few unused assets. If you are really lucky you might find a testing room where the games physics were tested,

Psyonix has made over 50 million on Rocket League

Posted on December 18, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Developer Psyonix’s amazing super powered ultra fast sports racing car game is crazy fun. Dont belive me? Read my review or check my steam library and see all the play time. However it also seems that at least according to the Wall Street Journal its also crazy profitable.  In an interview with the WSJ Psyonix said ““Rocket League” has raked in nearly $50 million in revenue and amassed more than 8 million registered players since its July launch on PC’s and Ps4s” This is pretty unprecedented for an indie game from a small studio with out a backing by a major publisher.

Posted on October 29, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Our oppinions here at brokenjoysticks on Rocket League are well known, our review posted here was glowing to say the least. So any time we hear about DLC or new content for that game we get EXTREMELY excited. So what could make an already amazing game where you shoot around in cars that have rockets even more amazing? The answer lies in Mutators [youtube id=”cEH2hUw-d_U”] Mutators at first seem simple, you can change all sorts of things, the size of the ball, the gravity in the field, the shape of the ball (is it still a ball if its square?
