Prototype 2 Review (PC)

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Jason Bassett

When the original Prototype came out a few years ago, it brought one of the most bloodiest games out on gaming platforms to date. The game was featured around a guy named Alex Mercer and was a researcher for project Blacklight. When he found out the bad things that were happening with his research, he decides to go out on his own to try to stop the threat. However, things go wrong and now he’s a walking mutant bent on destroying the the corporation and government that made him this way.Read More

Minecraft Is Getting Bats In Caves With Update 1.4

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Seung Lee

Bats have always been known to be real pains in the neck when exploring through a cave (Pokémon fans can probably attest to this). However, the bats that’ll be in Minecraft‘s spooky 1.4 update for October won’t actually do anything to you (well, they might frighten you). They’re only going to be active during the night, and will escape if you disturb them. Don’t expect any amazing loot to drop if you slay a bat, either.

TGS: It’s a Fantasy Life

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Les Major

Level 5 showed off a new trailer to their upcoming game Fantasy Life today at the Tokyo Game Show. The game, which began development three years ago for the Nintendo DS, will finally be released in December for the 3DS.

The game looks a lot like Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, except that it feels like this could have been the next evolution of the Animal Crossing series. This is how the AC games could have evolved and progressed.Read More

PC Port of DMC: Devil May Cry Delayed

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Dante’s new look isn’t the only thing causing a stir in regards to DMC: Devil May Cry. Capcom confirmed yesterday that the PC version of the game will be delayed until after the console versions release. The Windows/Mac port is not being handled by Ninja Theory, the game’s developers, but rather by QLOC who handled the PC duties for the mediocre Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City and the pretty good Street Fighter X Tekken.

If you’re going to be buying Capcom games, maybe you should wait for the ULTRA SUPER DELUXE re-release of DMC. Although, I am uncertain as to what DLC they could possibly add to a traditionally linear game.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Open Beta Begins Early Next Month

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

EA’s next military first person shooter, Medal of Honor Warfighter, will get the open beta treatment on Xbox Live early next month according to the company. If you are on the fence as to whether or not the next MOH will fill this season’s shooter gap, this gives you a chance to get it out at no risk!

EA has stated that if 3 million players download the beta they will release a music video inspired by Medal of Honor featuring Linkin Park’s Castle of Glass Single. They also reminded everyone that if you pre-purchase the game before its October 23rd release they’ll throw in the Bin Laden Raid inspired DLC for free.

Killing terrorists AND a free weekend of gaming? AMERICA **** YEAH! (even though I am Canadian).

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Expansion Announced At TGS

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Just announced is an major expansion to Capcom’s new IP Dragon’s Dogma – titled “Dark Arisen.” Granted there is not a lot of information about this expansion other than it is tentatively dated for 2013. This game, even for its flaws, it one of the best new IPs I’ve played this year and I truly enjoy the heck out it.

Here is the teaser trailer for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (and it’s just that…a teaser):

[youtube id=”i6uJMg_jPvI” width=”600″ height=”350″]

Also, there are additional modes supposedly set to launch before the end of the year as well: Speedrun & Hard mode.

It’s pretty self-explanatory, but Speedrun will challenge you to clear the game within a certain time. Doing so will earn specific in-game equipment based on the time you completed it in. Hard mode will be just that…Hard. Enemies will be tougher but completing the game will earn you with even more special equipment.

So, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will launch sometime in 2013. I’m excited about it, how about you all?

Posted on September 21, 2012 by Joshua Rust

With the release of Borderlands 2 just a few short days ago, you would think the hype for this game is over. Wrong! Randy Pitchford, CEO & Executive Producer, has teased some more information about even more classes are a possiblity for Borderlands 2.

Here are a few thing that Randy Pitchford had to say in a Q&A:

“We created the ability in Borderlands 2 to add additional characters because we want to use that ability. ”

“The Mechromancer is the first one. I hope to do more. The success of the Mechromancer will help to define this. Our ambition and passion and our fans requests will also contribute to decision making about what we do.”
