Remember Me In This 10 Minute Gameplay Video

Posted on September 7, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Remember Me is a new IP that Capcom announced at GamesCon 2012 earlier this year. This trailer shows off some footage directly from the presentation that was at GamesCon.

Remember Me looks like it will be a pretty decent title, just get some of that dialogue fixed up a bit and this game will be worth remembering.

Remember Me is set to launch May 2013.

Phoenix Wright Returns in Ace Attorney 5

Posted on September 4, 2012 by Jeff Wade

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu promised big Capcom news earlier this week. Well, the ruling is in, and via Andriasang, we know now the magazine has the scoop on the return of gaming’s favorite attorney.

Teased earlier this year, these are the first concrete details on the long in the works sequels. Phoenix Wright returns, as does the trial based gameplay last seen in Apollo Justice Ace Attorney. As speculated, the series will make the jump to 3DS.

DmC: Devil May Cry Trailer Shows Off Boss Fights

Posted on September 3, 2012 by Joshua Rust

The rebirth of Dante did have me worried at first. Well, all that worry has vanished because DmC: Devil May Cry is looking amazing. This video, from the PAX 2012 gaming conference, shows of Bob Barbas boss fight and the Overturn mission.

(It should be noted that you may have to sign in to your Youtube account to verify age).

DmC: Devil May Cry will be released on January 15th. Seems like early next year is going to be stacked up as bad as the end of this year. DMC, Tomb Raider, Bioshock: Infinite, etc…etc…etc…

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Is Coming To iOS

Posted on August 29, 2012 by Seung Lee

It seems that The World Ends With You won’t be the only popular DS game to receive an HD-enhanced iOS port. Capcom has announced that the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy on the DS (which was also on the Gameboy Advance, but only in Japan) will be available on the App Store for 5.0 or higher iOS devices. The first two out of five episodes for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will be free to everyone, but the rest of the episodes and the other two games, Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations, will have to be bought separately or in a bundle.

The games will feature a new mode where players can express themselves, with the aid of some popular Ace Attorney characters. The main attraction, though, is the HD graphics. Characters and backgrounds look much, much better than they did in the GBA and DS versions. There’s no info yet on how much each game or the bundle will cost.

15 Minute Gameplay Video Of Lost Planet 3

Posted on August 27, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Lost Planet 3 is looking even better than its’ predecessor and I personally can’t wait for more information to trickle out. With that being said, CVG got a look at Lost Planet 3 earlier this month and had the chance to grab a 15 minute gameplay video!

Lost Planet 3 takes place before the first two games and Capcom has promised a story-driven approach as the first Lost Planet did. Spark Unlimited is in charge of the development for Lost Planet 3, which is a continuing trend of seeking Western developers to make the games instead of developing them internally.

Lost Planet 3 is has no set date, but is expected to release in 2013 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

Con Bravo: Gaming Tournament & Free Play Impressions

Posted on July 30, 2012 by Broken Joysticks

During the last weekend we at Broken Joysticks got the opportunity to visit Con bravo down in the Hamilton Ontario area as our readership is already aware – and let me give a shout out saying it was one of the best con experiences that we have ever covered. Meeting the Special Guests, the con goers themselves, and the staff was nothing short of epic amounts of fun – and we’ve made a note to put this down as one of our favoured cons for the future.

While the big coverage will be coming out as the week goes on, including interviews with Spoony, Doug, and others from Channel Awesome, we’d like to make a special note on something that we usually find more then a little mundane that we thought was exceptionally well done at this con – the gaming.Read More

20 Staff Laid off From Dead Rising Studio

Posted on July 19, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

20 staff members from Capcom Vancouver (formally Blue Castle Games) have been laid off the studio confirmed via their official twitter account. After publishing 4 Dead Rising titles in two years (Dead Rising 2 & Off the Record where standalone titles and Case: West/ Case: Zero where downloadable) it is understanding that they would want to work on a brand new IP. It is unknown if these lay off will affect the development of their as yet unannounced game.

Capcom did issue a statement to Joystiq sometime after the intial tweet from Capcom Vancouver. It read as follows:Read More

JOJO’s Bizarre Adventure Becomes Bizarre XBLA Game

Posted on July 16, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

The original JoJo Bizarre Adventure was launched on the Sega Dreamcast over a decade ago and since then it’s one of the few Capcom fighting series, save for maybe SNK Vs Capcom, to see some form of re-release. This is about to change with the announcement of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure HD for the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

For fans of MVC3 or Super Street Fighter 4, JoJo may seem like a bit of a throwback. Sure it features super moves and devastating combos but there is less of a focus on performing over the top moves and more of a focus on chaining hits together successfully.

JoJo HD will be priced at $20 USD on the PSN or 1600 Microsoft points on the XBL, making it one of the more pricier offerings on each service. This HD port will also come complete with an online matchmaking system, similar to Super Street Fighter IV, which of course the 2001 original lacked.

Capcom’s recent crop of games, namely Street Fighter X Tekken and Operation Raccoon City haven’t exactly lived up to lofty expectations, either financially or critically depending on the game that you are talking about. Posted on May 15, 2012 by Matthew Regier

Capcom, the most popular developer for people to hate when the words “downloadable content” are mentioned have decided to reevaluate their approach when it comes to releasing DLC for their new games. Particularly their on-disc DLC that have fans upset over. Notably the 14 characters that hackers detected on disc of Street Fighter X Tekken.
