It’s that time of the month like clockwork, where Microsoft announces their Games With Gold title for the upcoming month. As always, the lineup consists of two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games. We will see Trials of the Blood Dragon, SUPERHOT, Brave: The Video Game, and Quantum Conundrum as March’s Games With Gold titles.
Here is the list of when you can download these free games:
The Jurassic World: Evolution park keeps growing bigger and bigger as Frontier Developments has added another dinosaur to the stable: the long-necked Brachiosaurs. Previously we’ve seen the Ankylosaurus and Stegosaurus, as well as the Triceratops and Ceratosaurus. We’ve seen a lot of herbivores, maybe soon they’ll get into the carnivores!
Jurassic World: Evolution is expected to release sometime this summer on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Developer Experiment 101 looks like they may have a winner on their hands. If they can deliver on everything they are promising: a one-of-a-kind hero with a plethora of different gaming mechanics. In this new video, they show off some of these things such as using the crossbow to traverse the land, a glider, there’s even a mech! This is probably one of my most anticipated titles of 2018. It looks a bit Fable-ish and Zelda-ish, but with a whole new, different kind of hero. Can Experiment 101 deliver us a new classic, it’s quite possible. See the video below and see for yourself!

Of course this trailer, the voices are all in Japanese but it now has an English caption available to read as well. In the trailer below, you’ll see some of the Monsters Inc. gameplay footage. I will have to say, this is looking pretty amazing. Monsters Inc. is just one of the many Disney worlds you’ll be able to visit in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is expected to release sometime later this year on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Obsidian Entertainment has just announced that Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will be coming to consoles later this year. It was first just announced as PC only title. With the original game having been ported to the consoles as well – we figured it was just a matter of time before the sequel confirmation would be announced for consoles.
The game is coming out on PC this April, while the tentative date for the console versions is expected Holiday 2018. It is being ported to consoles by developer Red Cerberus. Here is an older video showing off some of the gameplay for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire:
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will release on PC in April. The Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch version will be available Holiday 2018. We will keep you updated as more information comes to light.
The very long awaited patch for Terraria is now finally live for the Xbox one version of the game. This update is huge as the game’s code has been completely rewritten. The reasoning behind this is to get all the consoles versions on the same page with the PC edition, that way when it comes to future updates it will pretty seamless between all the versions.
For more information, there is an official FAQ regarding the changes on the developer’s website. As well as a place to report bugs and a general feedback area to talk about the update.
Slime Ranchers everywhere, get ready for a new update that will introduce a new area and a new slime. Coming later this February, you will be able to venture through Nimble Valley and race alongside the lightning fast Quicksilver Slimes! In addition to the new area and slime, there will be additional tweaks to the 5-Day Rush mode.
Nimble Valley Partner with Mochi Miles in a STRICTLY BUSINESS capacity to corner the market on quicksilver slime plorts! Explore the Nimble Valley, a wholly-owned property of Miles Corp, and earn unique rewards from your boss, THE Mochi Miles.
The experience in the Nimble Valley is very different from anything else in Slime Rancher, offering an action-packed race through the valley as you attempt to feed a herd of dozens of quicksilver slimes with blasts of electric charges.
Quicksilver Slimes Why doesn’t the rest of the world know about quicksilver slimes? Why are they ONLY located in the Miles-owned Nimble Valley? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
Rush Mode The 5-Day Rush is getting an overhaul, including a name change! Rush Mode shares the same goal as the 5DR in that it’s a race to get as many newbucks as you can in a limited period of time. However, Rush Mode introduces a variable time limit, that can be extended through smart, efficient play. It will also feature a few bonus offerings out on the range to encourage mixing up ranching with exploring.
Please note that while we expect high scores to completely change, 5DR world records posted online will be preserved as Rush Mode scores will be distinguishable.
Monomi Park has additional updates planned as well for Slime Rancher. We’ll keep you updated as those become available.

Frontier Developments have releases yet another dinosaur profile for their upcoming simulation game Jurassic World: Evolution. The Ceratosaurus, which basically means “horned lizard” from Greek translation, is definitely a “meat eating Meatasaurus” as once described by young Lex in Jurassic Park. Previously, we’ve had only the Triceratops profiled up to this point, but I’d expect lot more to be coming as these did.
Jurassic World: Evolution is expected to release sometime this summer for Xbox One, PS4, and Steam.
Games like Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and Dark Cloud 2 have all been cited as inspirations to Pathea Games sandbox simulation RPG: My Time In Portia. These influence can been seen heavily in the video below. I can’t speak for most people, but it’s games like this and Stardew Valley that can keep me entertained for hours and not even notice that hours have gone by.
Here is how the game is described by the developers (via its Kickstarter Page):
Setting sail for Portia, a town on the edge of civilization, you’ll arrive to find a workshop left to you by your Pa – a place where you can begin to craft a new life, using the relics from the past to improve Portia.
Gather materials from Portia’s stunning open world: cut down trees, forage for herbs, mine in the ruins and even grow your own garden. There are many unique areas for you to explore including deserts, island, reefs, highlands, marshlands, mines and more! There are even two different types of dungeons including abandoned dungeons filled with important resources such as relics and ores for you to harvest or more hazardous dungeons where you’ll be able to encounter and battle monsters!
My Time at Portia costs $19.99 during Steam’s Early Access, but will receive a price increase after release. If you’re wanting to pick it up cheap, do so now. My Time At Portia will hit Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch sometime later in 2018. I think this could be one of those sleeper hits to be watching out for this year. What do you all think?
Growing up with the Jurassic Park franchise, I won’t deny that my nostalgia got the best of me when this game was first announced. Previously, if you wanted to build your own dinosaur park you’d have to go back to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis on the PC, Xbox, PS2. For those of you who may be worried about the quality of this game, let me assure you that the studio behind this game, Frontier Developments, has tons of experience with simulation games such as: Zoo Tycoon, Kinectimals, and ScreamRide.
