Calling all cars: This Is the Police 2 launches in 2018

Posted on April 14, 2018 by Jason Nason

THQ Nordic has a really interesting game on the way. This Is the Police 2 is the second strategy/adventure game in the series which is planned for 2018 on Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Just like the first game, This Is the Police 2 is a mixture of adventure and management genres, and this time will enjoys further mechanics that will strengthen both the strategic and tactical parts of the game. It won’t be enough just managing the equipment of your policemen and keeping in mind their individual skills.

You’ll have to interpret the law and run the sheriff’s department, manage your cops, investigate, interrogate, incarcerate, make tough decisions – and try to keep out of prison yourself! – in this story-driven mixture of adventure and strategy, set in a cold border town riven with violence.

Every challenge requires the player’s direct participation on a tactical combat scene, and the outcomes will depend on every decision you make. Now your subordinates aren’t just some resource; they are living people with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices, and you’ll have to reckon with all these things in order to survive.

This Is the Police 2 will be released later this year on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Check out the trailer below.

Biomutant Trailer Shows Off Combat, Traversing the World, and a Mech?

Posted on February 19, 2018 by Joshua Rust

Developer Experiment 101 looks like they may have a winner on their hands. If they can deliver on everything they are promising: a one-of-a-kind hero with  a plethora of different gaming mechanics. In this new video, they show off some of these things such as using the crossbow to traverse the land, a glider, there’s even a mech!  This is probably one of my most anticipated titles of 2018. It looks a bit Fable-ish and Zelda-ish, but with a whole new, different kind of hero. Can Experiment 101 deliver us a new classic, it’s quite possible. See the video below and see for yourself!

Biomutant is heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year. We’ll keep you updated as soon as a firm release date has been announced.

The Dwarves Settle On Xbox One / PS4 and Windows PC

Posted on December 1, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

THQ Nordic has launched their cross-platform RPG title centered around the fantasy staple race The Dwarves on Xbox One, Windows PC and PlayStation 4 alongside a brand new music video by long-running German metal band Blind Guardian to celebrate the launch of the game.

Players take on the role of Dwarvan smith & scholar,  the heroic Tungdill, as he builds a group of companions as he tries to save the land of Gridlegard and save the races of Men, Elves and Dwarves.

Players and their group of chosen companions are able to take on hundreds of foes with 15 playable heroes across a multi hour campaign. During these tactical challenges The Dwarves will fight against armies of other fantasy races like orcs, zombies, dark wizards, elves and hordes of the undead. Developer KING ART promises that these battles will rattle player’s brains – they’ll have to plan out their next moves in real-time in order to overcome their foes.

Here are the recommended specs for the Windows PC version:

Recommended Specs

OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10

Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3,9 Ghz / AMD FX-8350 4 GHz

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: GTX770 / R9 290 / 4GB

DirectX: Version 11

Storage: 25 GB available

Currently The Dwarves is available for 10% off on Steam for $44.99 CDN. The console editions retail for oddly specific price of $53.49 on the PlayStation Network and $33.99 CDN on Xbox One. For some reason the price of this title isn’t consistent at all across platforms.
