State of Decay 2 Brings Post Apocalyptic Scares Next Spring

Posted on June 11, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

State of Decay 2’s trailer asks us the hard questions about surviving in an urban post apocalyptic hell-scape like:  “who do you decide to save?” and “do you kill a friend or do everything you can to save them?”. Player choice, player action and the consequences of both of those are front and center during the gameplay reveal trailer shown at Microsoft’s E3 press conference earlier today. We see the survivors make choices like where to build their settlements, whether or not to give a party member the last remaining antidote and whether or not to take revenge against the

MMORPG Black Desert Online Coming To Xbox One

Posted on June 11, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

As an MMORPG Black Desert Online is known for being drop dead gorgeous and if you have a PC with high enough specs to run the game on ultra settings, you’re in for a treat. Microsoft announced at their E3 press conference that the game will be coming to Xbox One later this year and will be enhanced by the power of Xbox One X (formally “Project Scorpio”). Here is how the game’s Steam Page describes the game, which I feel gives a good rundown of how Black Desert Online differs from other Buy To Play MMORPGs. Also the PC

Injustice 2 | REVIEW

Posted on June 2, 2017 by Les Major

Injustice 2 Launch Trailer
The original Injustice was a fresh idea based around the expanded mechanics of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Adding things such as environmental objects in the background to interact with and scene transitions you could knock your opponent into for extra damage, it had an different feel. Let alone the storyline was incredible, featuring a world where Superman was fed up with villainy and Batman was struggling to keep the peace through justice and mercy. What felt great back in 2013 has since been given a lot of polish with the sequel. Everything just feels better, and it should since the

Overwatch’s Next Map Sends Players To The Moon

Posted on June 2, 2017 by Rae Michelle Richards

Overwatch’s next new map for both competitive and quick play will take Blizzard’s heroes to the moon with the upcoming addition of the Horizon Lunar Colony. This new map, lore wise, gives us a sense of where the game’s giant ape Winston grew up and the circumstances surrounding his past and an ape uprising on the moon. Gameplay wise Horizon Lunar Colony will feature a single low gravity section near point A. There is a set of airlock doors that players can move through to experience combat with less gravity – how long do you think Junkrat would let his

Walking Dead: A New Frontier- Episode 4 “Thicker Than Water” | Review

Posted on May 17, 2017 by Meghan Kass

There is one issue I find with the episodic format for games, and that is also the same problem I have with television episodes as well; sometimes you get episodes that are just bridges to bigger idea or moment instead of entertaining moments in and of themselves and leave you feeling a little less than fulfilled, yet still wanting more because of the implications of what’s to come. As the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier comes and goes, I can’t help but feel a little hungry for more, and not in the best of ways.

After Trying Injustice 2 I Think Scarecrow Is My New Main

Posted on May 11, 2017 by Les Major

Injustice 2 - Scarecrow
During last nights amazing Injustice 2 event at a wonderful venue in Toronto we got to try out some gameplay action! Sure, we only got to try three matches, but I think I’ve found my new fighter. First off, Injustice 2 boasts an impressive roster of at least 32 characters! More characters are even playable through Premiere Skins which changes their voice and appearance, but keeps the play style of a base character. I enjoyed trying out newcomers Black Canary and Cheetah but Scarecrow really stole my attention when I just started tearing up my opponent without any prior knowledge

Posted on April 21, 2017 by Meghan Kass

Back in the ancient year of 1989, there was a game called Wonderboy III: The Dragon’s Trap. This game was the third in the Wonderboy series, brought to us by Sega. These platformer/action adventure games about Wonder Boy trying to undo the curse that changes him into various monsters was well received and given a lot of love by critics and gamers alike. It was praised for its beautiful, colorful sprites and backgrounds, its challenging gameplay and overall fun. Fast forward to 2016 and an indie developer Lizardcube and publisher DotEmu announced a remake of Wonderboy III, appropriately calling it Wonderboy:

Shadow Of Mordor Sequel Announced Today – New Trailer

Posted on February 27, 2017 by Les Major

Shadow Of War Trailer 1
The rumors are true! Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the official title of Monolith Productions next game in the series. I LOVED Shadow of Mordor and it’s certainly a title worth checking out to this day. The sequel continues the storyline and really begs to question if we’ll follow the canon at all, or if this really is a wild new tale of Talion versus Sauron where anything can happen. The original seemed to take liberties, but it’s still great just getting to explore a new vision of Tolkien’s fantasy world. Check out the trailer below! The game is on

Featuring futuristic environments, improved water physics over other enhanced versions of the original Riptide GP, 12 courses, 3 modes and 7 vehicles – Riptide GP: Renegade might just fill the gap left behind with fans as other watercraft based franchises lack modern entries, like Nintendo’s neglected Wave Race series or Midway’s
