Assassin’s Creed III Sneaks On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Assassin’s Creed III made a huge impact at last week’s E3, with appearances at Ubisoft’s own press conference as well as Sony’s big night.  No one can deny that the hype surrounding both ACIII and AC: Liberation are running high. The folks at Jummy Kimmel Live filmed a brief one minute skit to promote the game at E3 complete with revolutionary cosplayers and the Creative Director of the game Alex Hutchinson. NarcoTerror E3 Hands-on

NarcoTerror is a topdown (mostly) dual stick shooter from the brand new publisher Rubicon, coming to XBL, PSN, and PC download platforms later this year. The concept of the game is to turn the 80’s action movie Commando into a twin stick shooter, which it succeeds at by using a jungle setting, loads of crazy high powered weapons, and a whole lot of fun explosions from satchel charges and grenades. Also following the 80’s motif all the on screen HUD elements have a slick retro font and effect on them.

Forza Horizons E3 Demo

After four games in the series that have stuck to the track day, racing career formula, Forza Horizon is out to bring open road racing to the tried and true gameplay that fans have enjoyed for years now. The playable race at the show was a nice mellow country road, mostly two lanes with a few small four lane areas. Now I know I said the road was mellow, that is until the race started… So as it turns out when you bring a Viper onto a quiet little road, quiet goes right out the window. The game looks great,

38 Studios Files for Bankruptcy

Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios have declared chapter 7 Bankruptcy earlier today. Currently an FBI investigation is under way for the game developer for neglecting to pay their employees, according to a report filed by WPRI News. During the development of Kingdoms of Amalur back in 2010, the development house agreed to a $75 million dollar loan from the state of Rhode Island in order to move its company and its employees to the state to create more jobs. Star Trek The Game: Villains, Screenshots & More

Namco Bandai have released several new screenshots for their upcoming Movie Tie-in game for JJ Abram’s second Star Trek film. The recently released screenshots give us our first look at the game’s villains, massive hulking creatures that would scare even the most seasoned officer, as well as a glimpse of the highly detailed main bridge. These new screenshots aren’t the only recent news surrounding the project. Earlier in the week it was confirmed that both Christopher Pine and Zachary Quinto, the new Kirk & Spock, will voice their characters in the videogame adaptation. We also learned a little bit more

Spec Ops: The Line | Demo Impressions

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Now Available, Free on PSN+

Sega’s latest fighting game, Virtual Fighter V: Final Showdown, is now available on PlayStation network and Xbox live. This version of Virtual Fighter V is based upon recent changes that were brought to the arcade version and includes 19 characters, interactive arenas, a new training mode and eight player online matches. The game is priced at 14.99 USD (OR 1200 Microsoft points) and clocks in at around 2 GB. Persona 4 Arena Dated For August 7, Includes 2 Language Tracks

Atlus has finally revealed the North American release date for Persona 4: Arena, the 360/PS3 fighting game featuring characters from the Persona universe. the game will be available on August 7, 2012, making it an excellent treat for the end of the summer. As an added bonus the game will include both the original Japanese and English language tracks. The game was developed by long time fighting game developer Arc System Works whose previous works include the Guity Gear and BlazBlue Series.  I know a number of people on staff here broken joysticks are excited to play Persona 4 Arena.

Watch_Dogs Unveiled at E3.

Update: Check out the teaser trailer and gameplay after the jump! During the Ubisoft E3 Press Briefing, a trailer for a brand new game was shown. The trailer that was shown was a information centric. The trailer that was shown was named ctOS and it takes the open world game to a whole new level. Jonathon Morin, creative director at Ubisoft said that the city was your weapon.

A trailer shown at Ubisoft’s E3 Press Briefing shown off today gave us a glimpse of what we could expect to see during our playtime. Featuring a badass killing spree by the main protagonist, you will also run into George Washington, who was shown during the trailer. Also shown was footage of the gameplay. Skyrim’s Dawnguard Gets Beta Test On Xbox 360

The Beta program for the upcoming Dawnguard expansion for The Elderscrolls V Skyrim will be coming to the Xbox 360, Bethesda announced. In order to apply for the Dawnguard beta you’ll have to have an account on their official forums. Your information on the official application and your account must also match for you to be considered. The beta program will begin rather quickly with Bethesda selecting testers next week sometime. Those chosen will receive a token to download Dawnguard and will receive the full version of the expansion upon release.

So there is a new joint effort between Cyanide Studios and Spiders being published by Focus Home Interactive. Looks to be a new brutal fantasy RPG. Now despire recent reviews, I’m a huge fan of Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studios. I see passion in their games, som great potential yet to be fully realized. So here’s hoping Of Orcs and Men will relize that potential. Check out the trailer it looks pretty awesome. September 2012 release date you say? I’ll be keeping my eyes on this one.

Metal Gear Solid Rising Cuts Down the Competition

So early this morning at Konami’s pre E3 show, we received a seak peak of something very beautiful. A new trailer and update of Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. This trailer has shown off the cut physics which show something very similar to what we saw when the game was first announced. MGS Rising, looks amazing I can’t wait to get my hands on the game unfortunatley it won’t be until “Early 2013” now, whenever that is.

Jason West/Frank Zampella vs. Activision Avoids Jury Trial

Jason West and Frank Zampella have officially settled their case with Activision for their mistreatment of workers during the development of Modern Warfare 2. This ends the year long struggle both Activision and the Infinity Ward studio heads have endured. Zampella and West, in their final hour, decided to settle their dispute before reaching a jury trial. If you haven’t been following this fiasco when it started, West and Zampella sued Activision for the a number of bonuses (rumored to reach over $10,000,000 for both West and Zampella), included in that deal were all the staff that worked on Modern
