In this release, we’ll get all three original Jurassic Park movies, and the new movie Jurassic World as well! Alan Grant minifig action! Jeff Goldblum in Lego form!

I love the movies, all three! Of course I’m looking forward to Jurassic World as well and this game will be fantastic package to really celebrate the franchise.

A Couple Nights With Dying Light

Posted on January 28, 2015 by Les Major

Just released yesterday, the zombie infested city parkour adventure Dying Light is quite an unique title. The game vaguely feels like a free roam version of Mirror’s Edge with some Dead Rising mixed in. This creates some amazing experiences that can relate to the games quite unbelievable, however accurate, gameplay trailer. There’s nothing quite like running down an alleyway on your way to a mission, then stopping dead when you come to a street full of shambling zombies. What do you do? Take to the roof tops? Climb the nearest bus to avoid their attacks? Or just run head long and dodge your way through the horde? It’s the encouragement of those sorts of instant decisions that make Dying Light so interesting.Read More

Warner Bros Interactive, publisher of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins have released a collection of five brand new screenshots. These new stills give us a glimpse into the world that Warner Bros Montreal is crafting using resources from the original developers Rock Steady.

Gotham swat teams pose for action in a smokey alleyway as the Dark Knight watches from the mist in one screenshot. In another, we see Batman about to square off against the mercenary known as DeathStroke. These screenshots convey a lot of emotion and tension. Make sure to check them all out after the jump.

Injustice: Reviews Among Us – More Hands On Impressions

Posted on May 3, 2013 by Les Major

It seems we here at Broken Joysticks love Injustice. Unfortunately we can only share one review per site, so think of this as a compliment to kashhoward’s wonderful review. Below is my review from Darkain Arts Gamers that I am sharing as an extended hands on impression to my time with the game so far. I played the Xbox 360 version and also gave the game a 9 out of 10.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a departure from Mortal Kombat’s usual fighting style, but has familiar elements that will keep Nether Realm fans from feeling alienated. Considered a way for the team to take some risks and experiment with new concepts, Injustice is an excellent example of what an established company can do with a property they seem passionate about.Read More

Voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, Will Not Return In Arkam Origins

Posted on April 29, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Fans of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman – since the 1990s animated series, will be disappointed that he will not be reprising his role as The Dark Knight in the latest game, Batman: Arkham Origins.  This report originates from South African magazine NAG, which claims that “[Warner Bros. wants] to use a new younger actor because the game features Batman in his early years”.

Batman: Arkham Origins was unveiled earlier this month and tells the story of the early days of the caped crusader, capturing his first interactions with some of his most famous rivals. Development of Origins is underway at WB’s internal Montreal studio, as opposed to RockSteady Games, which developed both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

Kevin Conroy’s career as Batman began with 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series and continued for two decades with roles in several direct to DVD films, including the excellent series of Batman themed short stories Gotham Knight. His non-Batman related credits include roles in Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and a spot on The Venture Bros.

Batman Returns In Arkham Origins This Fall

Posted on April 9, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Warner Bros latest title in the Arkham series was announced yesterday, Batman: Arkham Origins allows players to explore the roots of the caped crusader. The game is not being created by series developers Rocksteady Games, instead development will be handled in house at Warner Bros Montreal.

Origins will make use of the customized Unreal 3 Engine that powered the previous games, as well as some of the previous title’s assets. Developers working on the game promised IGN that while some assets are being re purposed the game will deliver new content without breaking the established atmosphere of the Arkham series.

The game’s plot involves a younger Bruce Wayne facing up against Gotham City’s vilest villains long, many of them for the first time. From a recently revealed Game Informer cover, we know that mercenary for hire – Deathstroke – will be one of the central villains  in Arkham: Origins. Read More
