Nintendo discontinuing support for SplatNet

After the announcement last week that Nintendo was shutting down Miiverse, the company quietly announced that they are also discontinuing support for SplatNet. SplatNet is an online service where you can check current and upcoming battle stages in Splatoon, check your current equipment and stats, see where you rank among your friends, as well as tweet out battle plans. Miitomo reaches 10 million worldwide users

Nintendo provided some updates for multiple games this morning, with some news about their first mobile application: Miitomo. Nintendo reported that their first app for smartphones and tablets has surpassed 10 million unique users worldwide. The free-to-start social experience app launched in Japan on March 17th and in a variety of other countries, including Canada, on March 31st.
