Nintendo Direct Details – Year of Luigi

Posted on February 14, 2013 by Jason Nason

Nintendo detailed a huge list of upcoming games this morning at another Nintendo Direct presentation, with a focus on Luigi and several games featuring everyone’s favourite brother.

Nintendo has named 2013 the “Year of Luigi,” thanks to the numerous appearances that Mario’s timid, green-clad twin brother will be making in games this year. Nintendo provided details about games on the way that feature Luigi, as well as information about more than two dozen upcoming games, including content for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS across packaged and digital formats.

“Luigi is just the green tip of the iceberg of all the great news we have to share with Nintendo fans this year and beyond,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and COO. “We’re showing how Nintendo 3DS and Wii U continue to be a source of fun, entertainment and great surprises.”Read More

Pandora’s Tower Confirmed For North American Release

Posted on January 16, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Remember Operation Rainfall? Well they’ve finally got their wish; Pandora’s Tower has been confirmed for a North American release thanks to the folks at XSeed. No solid release date on the game just yet but aside from confirmation Xseed did provide Kotaku with an excerpt describing the game, which I’ve included below.

Operation Rainfall was a fan run campaign to bring three Japanese RPGs for the Nintendo Wii to North America. Well, the years of waiting have paid off, because since their kick off a few years ago we’ve seen the release of The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles. In fact, sine the completion of their endeavor the crew at OR have turned their momentum into an entire gaming site, Great job guys!

More after the jump.Read More

Avengers: Battle For Earth GamesCon 2012 Trailer

Posted on August 15, 2012 by Joshua Rust

Avengers: Battle For Earth has me sitting on the proverbial fence. One one side, the comic nerd in me, wants this game so badly because a Marvel Comics game has never been able to be played this way. There-in lies the other side of the fence. The Kinect Only has always been a hit or miss when it comes to Kinect games.

I won’t this game completely as I have not seen the first bit of gameplay for it. But normally the Kinect games are really good (such asKinect Sports)or just awful. There’s normally an absence of middle ground.

With that being said, I am excited about this in my nerd sorta way. So, here is the trailer straight out of GamesCon 2012 and some screenshots as well:

So, what do you all think about these Kinect only games? Do you think Avengers: Battle For Earth has any potential at all?
