Pokemon Go Plus Possibly Delayed In Canada

Some bad news for Canadian Pokémon fans who might be looking to get the complete experience once the mobile app launches above the 49th parallel -it looks like the optional Pokémon Go Plus bracelet that can be paired with the game may have been delayed. In an email I received from Amazon.ca about my pre-order for the Pokémon Go Plus, I was notified me that the item had been delayed. Originally I pre-ordered at the end of June and Amazon had expected the bracelet to be available by the end of this month. Their updated Pokémon Go Plus page now lists

Supposed NVidia Geforce 1060 VS Radeon 480 Benchmarks Leak Ahead of Launch

Nvidia’s latest  attempt to absolutely dominate the mid-range GPU market kicks off in one week, on July 19th the graphics card manufacturer will launch the Geforce 1060. Reviewers who have units are under NDA until launch day according to several other hardware blogs, but it appears that official benchmarks straight from team green have leaked ahead of the card’s release.  If the 1060 performs as well as these benchmarks imply will it be enough to stop the waves of hype / stock shortages created by the success of AMD’s Radeon RX 480? *prepare your loads of salt to be taken

DOOM Developers Rollout Vulkan Graphics Options, Boosts Performance On Older Hardware

ID Software has released a major patch for this past May’s DOOM which enables support for the Vulkan graphics API. To the casual observer, this may be unexciting news as games typically support a number of graphic options ranging from DirectX 12, Open GL to Open CL. Vulkan isn’t just a new alternative for developers but may also provide large benefits for players on older hardware. Vulkan will allow players on newer graphics cards, like the Radeon 480 and Geforce 1070  to experiences higher frame-rates than those available through pre-existing rendering options. Tekken 7 Confirmed For Early 2017 Release On PC

Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 PC Release will be available in Early 2017 via Steam. Confirmation of this comes as the official Steam Page for the game has gone live – you can view it right here. UMV Unveils Minimalist Line of Designer Clothes Aimed At E-Sports

UMV has announced a clothing line designed especially for e-sports players, streamers and broadcasters. This new line is called “Ult” and takes a minimalist approach to game focused fashion inspired by the Los Angeles streetwear aesthetic. AMD’s $199 Radeon RX 480 Graphics Card is VR-Ready

Welp, its a good year for graphics cards. First we have the whole set of NVida 10xx cards which are more powerful than the current hi end 1000$ cards that with a price point of about half. Now it seems that AMD is not going to die quietly and from their skunkworks comes the announcement of the new RX480 at just the tiny tiny price of $199USD. Stop, wait a minute, 200USD?! for a VR ready GPU? The Radeon RX 480 is scheduled to launch on June 29, with a model that is certified to power the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Starbreeze Buys Rights To Payday Franchise From 505 Games, Ends Microtransactions

Kona Coming To E3 As Part of The Indiecade Showcase

Indie survival & exploration title Kona will make an appearance as 1 of 100 titles available for play at the Indiecade booth at this year’s E3.
