Codemasters Gives Us a Sneak Peak at GRID 2 With New Teaser

Posted on February 8, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Get your wheels spinning with a bit of a tease for Codemaster’s GRID 2. A very brief glimpse of gameplay was released on the company’s official YouTube channel with a promise of a full trailer next week, on Feb 14. The new trailer only gives us a brief 44 second look at the game. We do see some pretty neat effects in action, including some rather convincing smoke effects – which at least impressed me. Honestly, it’s hard to tell with all of those fades to black going on. Sigh, I guess will just have to wait for the full trailer to

Is the Next Xbox Anti-Consumer?

Posted on February 7, 2013 by Joshua Rust

It’s not often that I like to express myself on rumors; with that being said, this one has floated around for a while: the elimination of used games. Now before you go grabbing your pitchforks and go on a witch hunt (keep them at arms reach though), this has not been confirmed by either Sony or Microsoft that it’s true.

Travel Back To Base Camp In This Tomb Raider Video

Posted on February 6, 2013 by Joshua Rust

It’s officially less than a month until the release of one the most anticipated games on my list: Tomb Raider. While I’m not overly thrilled with the inclusion of multiplayer to a single player franchise, I won’t completely off it until I’ve played it. In this new video that was released today from Square Enix & Crystal Dynamics, Lara will show you how upgrading your stats and weapons will allow further exploration into the island. As well as detailing what Base Camp offers you in means of interacting with other characters and upgrading Lara herself. [youtube id=”u-glIhFqXMg” width=”600″ height=”350″] Are

Superheroes Battle It Out For Fan Votes In WB’s New Campaign

Posted on February 5, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

We already knew that our favorite DC Comics characters were going to duke it out in NetherRealm Studio’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, but what we didn’t know was that the WB planned to launch a popularity contest weeks before the game’s release. Obviously this is meant as a way to drum up hype and support for the title before its April release, but this certainly is a neat approach. Dubbed the “Battle Arena,” every week for the next 10 weeks, Warner Bros will pit two characters against each other, with fan votes determining the winner. Each week a pre-match video

EA Sidelines Medal of Honor Franchise

Posted on February 4, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

I hope you don’t have your hopes up for a third modern Medal of Honor game. During last week’s investor’s call EA Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore announced that the publisher will be moving in a different direction in regards to their annual FPS release. Surely it had something to do with poor sales or an absolutely devastating meta critic score. While on the call Mr.Moore explained that Medal of Honor will be removed from Electronic Art’s bi-annual rotation, although he did not offer specifics as to what will replace it. Considering that Crytek, developer of the ever impressive Crysis

Injustice Gods Among Us Story Trailer

Posted on January 30, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Warner Bros. has released a brand new trailer for NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice: Gods Among Us. Millions of lives are on the line as the Joker plans to kill millions of people and the Justice League begins to deal with the proper punishment for super villains. It is the kind of tension filled high stakes situation we’ve come to expect from comic books. If the story mode from 2011’s Mortal Kombat is any indication, then NetherRealm Studios is going to give us a lengthy, well produced and slick story mode that will keep us on the edge of our seats right
