Posted on January 14, 2016 by Jason Nason

With the first Dementium Remastered barely cooling on the Nintendo 3DS since its release last month, today we have gotten word that the remastered sequel Dementium II may also be close to a release.

Jools Watsham stated on his latest Random Waffles Vlog today that ideally they hope to have Dementium II Remastered done and submitted for lot check by February. If all goes well the game could hopefully hit the Nintendo 3DS eShop sometime in March.

The game will retail for $14.99 like the original remastered game.

Very exciting news.

Square Enix Embraces Episodic Model For Latest Hitman

Posted on January 14, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

The latest game to star the bold barcoded assassin, Agent 47, will be released completely episodically with a physical released later in the year for all platforms. Square Enix recently cause a bit of a panic among users of the PlayStation Store when they decided to cancel all existing digital pre-orders. This shift to a purely episodic format for the game would explain why.

Announced at last year’s E3 Hitman was originally supposed to ship last Fall on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC with 3 different locations (Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh) with additional areas added later via optional expansion content. Under the new model the “intro pack” will include a playable prologue and just the Paris map & activities. Other locations including Japan, America, Sapienza and Marrakesh will be available as optional $10 episodes. No other downloadable content has been announced for the game and the developers have stated that there will be no micro-transactions and that free weekly challenges will be available to all players.

Honestly I think that is an excellent move for an open world game like Hitman and that if its successful perhaps other games that contain multiple open world maps will follow suit. By allowing potential assassin’s to walk in 47’s shoes for a lower price, $15 USD for the intro pack, Square is providing players with a self contained sandbox that will give players the AAA experience without the risk of investing $60+ in a game they may not enjoy. This wouldn’t have worked with a game that relied on one map (like Arkham Knight) but it certainly is an interesting idea.

Natsume’s Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories Plants A Crop of New Screenshots

Posted on January 14, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

A new farming adventure is coming to Wii U, PC and for the first time Android and IOS curtesy of publisher Natsume. Alongside a brand new video a whole crop of new screenshots have matured and now Natsume has shared them with us.

Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will farmers will need to befriend various villagers to help revitalize their ailing farmland. This relationship mechanic is a call back to older titles in the franchise where multiple paths existed depending on who you chose to romance. It’s not all about building relationships potential ranchers will also raise livestock like horses, cows and chickens.

When Seeds of Destiny was announced last August company CEO Hiro Maekawa was very clear when he compared it to older titles:

“From the farm to the town, we wanted Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories to evoke the feeling of a classic Harvest Moon game with modern twists,”

The original development team behind the classic Harvest Moon titles published their inaugural entry in a new franchise Story of Seasons for the Nintendo 3DS. A split between Marvelous Entertainment and publisher Natsume two years ago resulted in Natsume commissioning the first titles in the Harvest Moon series not developed by Marvellous.

Learn About Customizable Dirt Buggies In Dying Light’s Latest Trailer

Posted on January 14, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Techland has released another brand new trailer for the upcoming The Following expansion for last year’s surprise hit Dying Light.

One of the key features of The Following the ability for the player to not only drive dirt buggies in a new open world environment but also customize them. You’ll be able to equip your ride with several enhancements including devastating weapons like flamethrowers, UV headlights, ramming bars & more to help you stop the undead hordes. You’ll also be able to reflect your unique sense of style in your ride with a choice of 40 unique paintjobs.

Techland released the following statement about the role of the Dirt Buggies:

“Your buggy is going to be crucial to surviving out in the open, so we want to create an emotional connection between players and their ride,”  explains producer Tymon Smektała. “On top of the lethal weapons and upgrades you’ll be able to add, there are a lot of cool paint jobs, a number of unmistakable bobble heads and little charms to put inside, so you can really make the buggy your own.”

There will be a couple of ways that players can get their hands on The Following before the undead consume us all. It will be included in the Dying Light Season Pass for those that have already purchased it. The Following is also bundled with the upcoming Dying Light: Enhanced Edition in both digital marketplaces and boxed retail copies or as optional paid DLC to add it to the original game for $19.99 USD.

PewDiePie Launches New Network ‘Revelmode’

Posted on January 14, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Pewds is at it again, this time conquering the world of business and multichannel networks. Backed by the Disney Maker studio MCN Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s new network Revelmode will launch later on this year.

[youtube id=XpOSIjd433Q]

In a detailed interview with Variety (remember them they do entertainment news) he said that the network will focus on nurturing talent on “across YouTube, Facebook, and “other platforms.””

“I started as a gaming and digital-content fan long before making this a profession,” he said said in a statement. “The idea of Revelmode was built from my own experiences and will aim to bring together an Avengers-like talent squad to work and grow a business together. [Revelmode will create] one-off videos to original series to gamey games to animations, music, clothes, charity drives, and more–really anything that’s awesome in the eyes of the fans,” he explained.

Evidently the talent will be determined by pewdiepie himself and approved by the folks at Maker (a Disney subsidiary) At launch, the network includes CutiePieMarzia,CinnamonToastKen, EmmaBlackeryJackSepticEye,Kwebbelkop, Markiplier, Dodger, and Jelly. Thats quite the all star line up, but its not pointed out in the video or the article that most of those creators were already with disney owned Maker MCN. Late in 2015 rumor circulated that PewDiePie was not happy with Maker and intended to go off and establish his own Network powered by his over 40 million subscribers. In terms of dollars that number represents just about $4 million dollars a year, more than enough to establish a legitimate MCN anywhere in the world.

“We’re thrilled to be doubling down with Felix,” said Courtney Holt, executive VP and head of Maker Studios. “He is an amazing talent, a great partner and the pulse of millennial pop culture. We firmly believe in his vision for Revelmode and his chosen creators–we can’t wait to see the possibilities ahead.” It certinly will be an intresting year for the 23 year old media mogul.
