Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition Impressions

Posted on May 20, 2015 by Jason Nason

So there’s one kind of game that I actually really enjoy, which is apparent if you read my previous review of Spirit Stones, it’s the sliding tile games. And not just any old sliding tile games, but the ones where you get stuff.

Sure, Candy Crush is fun (from what I’m told) but I don’t see the point. However games where I get to defeat enemies and collect cards or monsters? I’m in! Puzzle & Dragons is this game, and the Super Mario Bros. Edition adds a bit of the Nintendo flavour to it.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t know the original game existed before Nintendo announced this one and I have since played a little bit of that game. I like the idea that instead of merely swapping two adjacent tiles around you get to slide a tile anywhere on the board. And by doing so you also end up shifting around other ties.

Nintendo Announces a Second Beta For Splatoon

Posted on May 20, 2015 by Rae Michelle Richards

Nintendo of America has confirmed that they will hold a second Global Test Fire for their colorful upcoming third person shooter Splatoon. If you already have the Global Test Fire Demo installed on your Wii U you should be good to go, otherwise make sure to grab it before the one hour stress test on May 23rd between 3pm – 4pm (Pacific Time).

Splatoon was announced during E3 2014. It is a third person action title for the Wii U where players take the role of adolescent Squids who can transform into humanoid shape. Instead of focusing on the kill/death ratio that other shooters rely on, the Turf War multiplayer mode in Splatoon are all about the amount of ground your team is able to cover with colorful ink.

Splatoon’s full version will be available on May 29th for $69.99 USD.
