Here’s Some New Details About Scourge: Outbreak

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Seung Lee

ScourgeOutbreak

If you don’t know what exactly Scourge: Outbreak is, I don’t blame you. I had no clue that it existed until I read an article about it. Scourge: Outbreak is a third-person shooter from a development team called Tragnarion Studios, and it’s being released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. The release date for it hasn’t been announced yet, but lead game designer Omar Salleh has unveiled some new screenshots and details on co-op today. Salleh’s blog post at the European PlayStation blog site revealed that his team’s upcoming game should be out in the next few months. He also went on to talk about being excited to see how players will enjoy the co-op mode.

That’s A Lot Of Levels For LittleBigPlanet

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Seung Lee

LBP

Media Molecule, the team behind LittleBigPlanet, has revealed today that seven million levels (and still going strong!) have been created across all of the games for the franchise. It hasn’t been too long since the very first LBP was released on the PS3 in ’08. Now, I’m not going to say each of these seven million levels are amazing, or worth your time to play, but you can’t say that you’re not getting bang for your buck with a LBP game.

Check out Media Molecule’s blog post celebrating the recent accomplishment here, and see the picture detailing it here.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Patch Now Online

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

There’s now a new reason for you to revisit Metal Gear Solid 4, well ok, 19 reasons to re-play Kojima’s PS3 classic with the announcement of Trophy Support. The patch actually went live on August 3rd, so we dropped the ball a bit here, but hey – late is better than never right?

Sony’s official PlayStation Blog has the rundown on all of the trophies Konami has included. They’re a bit on the strange side, as is to be expected. You won’t be increasing your trophy rank by just completing the various acts of MG4. Instead, you’ll have to make Otakon kiss you during the final battle or make all of the members of the B&B core dance to J-pop.

Weird things indeed…

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Sony has offered the budget minded gamer a great selection of Greatest Hits titles for some time now with offerings like Demon’s Soul and Grand Theft Auto 4 available for $20 or less. For those of us looking to save a few bucks and still enjoy some current generation gaming the “PlayStation Collection” imitative might a great way to jumpstart a collection.

The God of War Collection offers players 5 titles includes God of War 1, 2 and 3 as well as the previously PSP exclusive Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparda on one Blue-Ray disc. The Infamous Collection bundles the first two Infamous titles together with Festival of Blood, last Halloween’s PSN exclusive side story.

Collecting Cole Mcgrath’s adventures in one place will set you back $29.99 and head riping God of War Collection will run for $39.99. Not a bad deal at all considering you’re paying less than $7 a game!

Rise of the Triad Trailer & Details

Posted on August 6, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Rise of the Triad, a modern remake of a 1995 classic from Apogee Software, was revealed this past weekend at QuakeCon and attendees got the chance to frag the hell out of each other at the show. Now that the doors have closed in Dallas Texas media has been put online for the rest of us to enjoy. The game’s debut trailer give us a flyby view of a medieval castle  (forgive me if I got the time period wrong) that has been converted into a military prison of some sort. The rest of the trailer consists of guards being destroyed in slow motion explosions set to rock tunes
