More Animal Crossing Cards and Isabelle amiibo coming in June

Posted on March 7, 2016 by Jason Nason

The third series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards are just around the corner in North America and Nintendo has announced the date for the fourth series of cards.

During the latest Nintndo Direct it was announced that the fourth series of cards would be released in North America in June. This will bring the series up to 400 cards.

Also Isabelle would be released as a stand alone figure. Previously Isabelle was only available as part of the Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival bundle. The amiibo for Isabelle is actually slightly different, with Isabelle sporting a summer outfit.

The third series of cards comes out in a few weeks, and I’ve barely scratched the surface on the second series.

The second series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards will be released in North America on January 22nd but the third series are almost out in Japan. Before we get our hands on series 2 the third set of 100 cards will be available in Japan. One week before to be exact.

New Wii U Animal Crossing game and amiibo Coming

Posted on June 18, 2015 by Jason Nason

A bunch of newly revealed games were unveiled during Nintendo’s Digital Event at E3 on Tuesday, including a brand new Animal Crossing for the Wii U. The new game looks to take a page out of the Mario Party playbook and features the animal residents from Animal Crossing in a board game type game.

In Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival players are challenged to collect the most Happy Points by the end of a dynamic board game. The board layout can remain the same, but the spaces and even the environment change, depending on which month players choose for their game. As in other Animal Crossing games, players can buy turnips and use strategy to decide when to sell them for big money.

amiibo Functionality added in Newest 3DS Update

Posted on June 1, 2015 by Jason Nason

If you’re like me today you were prompted to update your Nintendo 3DS system today when entering the eShop. The relatively quick update added a new option within the settings home settings menu.

Tap on the home icon on the top left of your screen and then scroll down to see a newly added option for “amiibo Settings.” From this menu you can register the owner and nickname of your amiibo, delete amiibo game data, reset your amiibo as well as update the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer. Of course that peripheral isn’t even available yet so you can’t really do anything in this menu just yet.

Posted on September 2, 2013 by Jason Nason

If you’re a diehard Animal Crossing fan you likely already know that there are officially licensed plush toys based on Animal Crossing: New Leaf. If you’re new to the series or are less of a hardcore player you may not.

There are seven of the plush toys including Reese, K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Kicks, Porter, Mr. Resetti and Isabelle. The plushies make a great collectible (even if you can’t scan them into your game) and are great if you have a young one who is playing the game.

Posted on October 25, 2012 by Jeff Wade

The housing market might still be in a rough spot, but if you think you can do any better Nintendo’s latest Animal Crossing is set to give you the chance to play out all of your animal related mogul fantasies.

Freshly minted as Animal Crossing: New Leaf , the 3DS title places players in the role of the town mayor. Players will decide what buildings and projects to work on for the town and will have the ability to dictate shop hours among other similar corrupt abuses of power.
