Nep-Nep-Connect Is A New Free-To-Play Vita Title From Compile Heart

Compile Heart the developers of the Hyper Dimension Neptunia, Fairy Fencer and Omega Quintet franchises have announced a free-to-play collectible card game for the PlayStation Vita titled Nep-Nep –Connect: Chaos Chanpuru for a Japanese release later this year.

Nep-Nep-Connect will collect over 100 characters from Compile Heart’s various titles and will feature a brand new storyline connecting all of these characters with a brand new heroine – Yuriina. It seems that the title characters from Compule Heart‘s series are going to have to band together if they are going to avert disaster from the titular “Chaos Energy”.

Alongside the Japanese teaser trailer Compile Heart also released a new teaser website for the title.  No confirmation of the game coming to North America, Compile Hearts games are published by Idea Factory International in the west.

I absolutely love a lot of Idea Factory International’s gaming properties and have been a fan of their work for the past 5 years ever since I imported a copy of the original Hyperdimension Neptunia for the PS3 back in 2009 due to the North American print of the game being quite limited. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is the third in the series but was story friendly enough for me to be able to dive in and enjoy the game, even with it being my first adventure in this universe. The game feels like a hybrid between a visual novel and a JRPG. Not in the sense that you’re trying to date anyone, but more so the fact that there is just so much character interaction involved in the game; you do feel like you’re watching a visual novel, rather than playing a typical JRPG.Read More
