Two of Konami’s biggest games for 2012 and 2013 will be playable by the public for the first time at Germany’s GamesCom in August. Fans of Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid franchise will get their first taste of Raiden’s blade with a playable demo of next spring’s Metal Gear Solid Risisng: Revengeance. For those in attendance looking for something a little less blood-soaked and a little more macabre there’s always Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate for the Nintendo 3DS.

Posted on May 17, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

We already knew that the Metal Gear Solid Collection would be making the jump to Vita next month but now we have a more specific window. Solid Snake will make his debut on Sony’s next generation portable on June 15th according to Konami.

The Vita version of Metal Gear Solid Collection will differ slightly from its console counterparts. For one it only includes Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 since Peace Walker can be purchased digital through the PSN already.  Konami has also implemented some touch based controls in both games, giving you the ability to zoom with a sniper rifle or peak around corners, for example.
