JackBox’s Quiplash Aims To Be The Life of The Party

Posted on March 16, 2015 by Rae Michelle Richards

The folks over at Jackbox Games – the developers of the absolutely hilarious You Don’t Know Jack series – are Kickstarting a brand new game called Quiplash.

The premise is pretty simple, a prompt appears on your television and two players (… or ten house cats if you’re lonely like me) answer within the time limit. Responses are then displayed on the TV and other people waiting to play locally (or viewers watching your Twitch stream) can answer on their own mobile devices. The player who gets the most votes is declared the winner of the round!

Jackbox Games has a rather ambitious schedule ahead of them as they are looking to ship the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PS3 and PC by the end of this summer. They are seeking $15,000 in funding so that they can put some extra resources into the game and it out to the public super quick. As of the writing of this article they are more than halfway there – with over $8,000 in pledges!Read More

Final Fanrasy Heavensward

Heavansward explores the thousand year old conflict between the Ishguardians and the Dravian Dragons during the Dragonsong War. This expansion brings everything you would expect from a major MMO – new races, three new jobs,  new dungeons, new primal fights and probably my favourite addition of all – FLYING MOUNTS!

The second episode of Dontnod’s excellent indie themed time traveling episodic adventure Life Is Strange: Episode 2 “Out of Time” will be released on Steam, Xbox Marketplace and the PlayStation Store next Tuesday March 24th.

Alongside a brand new batch of Episode 2 screenshots Square Enix also released a brief gameplay clip from Out of Time over the weekend. We’ve also included the previous developer diary ‘Creating Academy Bay’ which focuses on the game’s absolutely fantastic soundtrack.

I purchased Episode 1 Chrysalis  when it was released this past January and absolutely loved it. We’ll be posting some impressions of Life Is Strange Episode 2 next Wednesday morning!

Each episode is priced approximately around $5 CDN per episode and a season’s pass for PS4 is available for $16.99 CDN as of press time.
