An Open World Zelda Like The Original? Yes Plz!

Posted on June 10, 2014 by Les Major

So Nintendo wanted to go back to the drawing board on Zelda and is using the classic original as a focus for their concepts. What specifically? Being able to explore in any direction, rather than just having an experience where you’re following a trail. What does all that look like? You can take a look at the preview video over on Kotaku to see what Nintendo has in store for an open world Zelda Wii-U title.

Let alone, the game itself looks beautiful and Nintendo confirms that these images are in-engine! The Wii U sure is pulling off some amazing visuals and it’s just getting better as time goes on!

Not A New Doki Doki Panic, But We’re Getting Closer

Posted on June 10, 2014 by Les Major

I would LOVE a new Super Mario Bros. 2 USA version (Doki Doki Panic) game. The content in NES Remix 2 that allowed you to pick up blocks as Toad in both Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Kirby’s Adventure brought back so many good memories. Shy Guy and Birdo are both still around even! Now, in the latest title Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Wii-U that spins off from Super Mario 3D World, you can even pluck turnips to throw at enemies? I’m in love! Mario Maker Brings My Childhood Dreams To Life

Posted on June 10, 2014 by Les Major

Odds are, at some point we’ve ALL wanted to do this. In 2015, you’ll be able to create your own Super Mario Bros. levels on the Wii U console. I remember (back in my day *waves cane like Cranky Kong*) putting in Game Genie codes just to see what kind of scrambled up, randomized Mario levels I could discover. Now Nintendo is giving me the power to do that on my own? YES PLEASE! Read on for the trailer! Just look at what you can do!Read More

Sure, it’s just a teaser trailer, but a lot of people are more excited than ever for the upcoming new DOOM game. First off, is that the cyber demon from the original DOOM game in the image above? We sure hope so! Game reboots are great and all, but for us classic gamers, it’s great to see nods to the content we grew up with. It brings our fond memories into glorious new graphics for a whole new generation! Read on to take a look at the video that’s got us excited!Read More
