Teyon dropping some BMX freestyle on 3DS tomorrow

Posted on April 19, 2017 by Jason Nason

The city is your playground! Tomorrow Teyon is releasing the sequel title Urban Trial Freestyle 2 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

The game comes with numerous new levels in five locations. In the game you will be able to pull off insane stunts on top of skyscrapers, speed down busy highways and take an intense ride through the suburbs while competing with others to get to the top of the leaderboards! You can also raise the bar by making the highest jumps or the flips in Stunt Mode! Try Time Attack and beat the best time at breakneck speeds! The game will also come packed with Challenge levels to test your skills.

The game features worldwide leaderboards, a level editor, and bike and rider customization to fit your gameplay. It also has advanced physics including character rag-doll.

The game is set to retail for a wacky $9.29 CAD (gotta love that exchange rate) on Thursday. The action/sports title is rated E for Everyone.

IMPRESSIONS: Team Kirby Clash Deluxe

Posted on April 15, 2017 by Jason Nason

Nintendo released a surprise title when they held their latest Nintendo Direct on Thursday afternoon. That surprise title is the free-to-start game for the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. The game is a very simple to play game that seems to offer a lot of depth on the surface, but isn’t really that deep of a game.

The game is a side scrolling battler where you can choose to play as one of four characters: Kirby, Kirby, Kirby, or Kirby. You must unite in the game with up to three other Kirbys to do battle in this free-to-start multiplayer action game. While you can only choose from Kirby as your battler of choice, you do have four classes to choose from to make your Kirby your own. Are you a Sword Hero? Hammer Lord? Beam Mage? Or Doctor Healmore?!

In the game you will take on bosses, level up, and try out new challenges.

2017 National StreetPass Weekend – Spring Edition

Posted on April 13, 2017 by Jason Nason

Spring is finally here and so is another Nintnedo National StreetPass Weekend!

From April 13th – 16th, collect up to six StreetPass tags from across North America when you stop by a Nintendo Zone location with your Nintendo 3DS. I’ll admit that these national StreetPass weekends excited me more when McDonald’s was a national partner and there was a Nintendo Zone near me. The only real partner in Canada is Best Buy, which unfortunately are few and far between. There are 19 McDonalds in my city while there are just 2 Best Buy stores.

Regardless two of Nintendo’s 3DS games have some special things coming this month both in the Nintendo Zone as well as otherwise.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo has special in-game furniture and items when you visit a Nintendo Zone location. In addition, you can get one item from Nintendo by in-game mail via the SpotPass. Get these special pieces and add these spring-themed pieces to your room:

  • Cherry-blossom clock (4/1-4/15) in Nintendo Zone
  • Taurus bathtub (4/16-4/30) in Nintendo Zone
  • Lotus pond (from Post Office)

Pokémon Shuffle – You can use the StreetPass feature to share game stats with others—and see their stats in return. You can also earn one heart per five StreetPass occasions. Pokémon Shuffle is also giving away a special in-game gift every day for those who check-in until the promotion ends on 4/18!
