Reminder: The Humble Capcom PlayStation Bundle Provides A Lot of Entertainment For $15

Posted on August 31, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

In five more days the window will close on one of the best Humble Bundle values I’ve ever seen – the Humble Capcom PlayStation bundle. Games from a number of different Capcom series including fan favorites like Mega Man, Resident Evil and Street Fighter headline this mind boggling bundle. For the price of ONE of these games you not only can get your hands on the HD remakes of Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 0 but also a whole bunch of older titles as well.

The value for PlayStation 4 owners is probably going to come from the two RE titles, as those retail for about $20 CDN a piece, but there are a few other current generation titles like the Strider reboot and a hefty discount off of Street Fighter V.

For those looking to relive some of Capcom’s modern classics on the PlayStation 3 this bundle can’t be beat. For the price of just Okami HD you not only get Clover’s classic PS2 game remastered in HD but also Don’t Nod’s cyber punk Remember Me, Lost Planet 3 and Street Fighter II HD Turbo Remix.

Here’s the complete list including tires. You can purchase the bundle here:

$1 USD Tier

  • Wolf of the Battlefield
  • Strider
  • Super Puzzle Fighter HD
  • Final Fight HD
  • 40% Off Street Fighter V Coupon

Beat The Average Tier

  • Lost Planet 3
  • Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
  • Resident Evil HD
  • Okami HD
  • Remember Me
  • Mega Man 9 & 10 Combo Pack

Humble Bundle: Archie Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog

Posted on June 22, 2016 by Jason Nason

As someone who doesn’t use my PC for gaming, Humble Bundle has been pretty useless for me for the most part. Most of the bundles that I’ve seen have been for Steam keys, which I can’t use. Though recently I took advantage of the “Friends of Nintendo” bundle which allowed me to get eShop codes for a bunch of games.

Now Archie Comics is getting on board to make digital versions of their Sonic the Hedgehog comics available.

In celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog‘s 25th Anniversary, Humble Bundle and Archie Comics are offering up a big digital collection of Sonic the Hedgehog comics! The Humble Comics Bundle: Sonic the Hedgehog features hundreds of pages of action-packed excitement from the longest-running video game comic book in history.Read More

Humble’s latest bundle is a feast for the eyes – called the Humble Eye Candy Bundle, this latest set of discount games are absolutely beautiful. Latest Humble Weekly Bundle Features Firaxis Games

Posted on January 19, 2016 by Rae Michelle Richards

Humble Bundle have teamed up with Firaxis Games to offer up a tiered discount on a number of their games including last year’s Civilization: Beyond Earth and its Rising Tides DLC. If turned based strategy is your jam and you don’t own some of these excellent games like Xcom: Enemy Unknown then this might be the bundle for you.

The $1 bundle will net you 2012’s Xcom reboot as well as several older titles. The BTA (beat the average) price gets you some DLC to augment your Enemy Unknown experience as well as the critically acclaimed Enemy Within expansion. 2010’s Civilization V is also included in the BTA tier but unfortunately it doesn’t include any of the games’ DLC. Civ V is probably the one game out of all of the ones on offer that I’ve spent the most time with.

Of course all of these bundles come with the previous tiered titles – Example: Buy the BTA tier and you’ll also get the games in the $1 tier. Also all of these games require Steam in order for you to play them.

$1 Tier

  • Xcom: Enemy Unknown
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • Ace Patrol Bundle
  • Civilization 3 Complete

Beat The Average Tier (currently $9 USD)

  • Civilization IV Complete
  • Civilization V Base Game
  • Sid Meir’s Starships
  • Two X-Com: Enemy Unknown DLC Packs
  • Xcom: Enemy Within

$15 or More

  • Civilization: Beyond Earth
  • Civilization: Beyond Earth Exo Planets DLC
  • 33% off voucher for Rising Tides DLC

Humble Bundle No Longer Offering Steam Keys

Posted on November 2, 2013 by Rae Michelle Richards

Low cost games are a great deal for the frugal and casual among us but it looks like one of the key sources of low cost PC games, the Humble Bundle, have changed their terms of service. Donating a few bucks for charity used to score you a few steam keys for some great games but it looks like the team behind the Humble Bundle has decided to discontinue the practice of giving away steam codes. Instead, donators are now presented with the option of clicking a link on their order confirmation screen that will add the games to their account through the Steam client.

Originally pointed out by watchful users on Reddit, the change in policy was noticed by potential buyers of the latest bundle featuring Team 17’s Worms franchise. As several of the users point out, there was a very shaky second hand market where individuals were able to sell some of the “beat the average” titles for a much higher price. This is especially true for some of the previous bundles, like the THQ Bundle, which featured $60+ of games for as little as $1. Even though a very popular Steam Key trading community emerged from the Humble scene, this could be a move to disarm those looking to make a profit.Read More
