Monster Hunter Generations wraps up free DLC line-up with January release

Since the game was released back in July, Nintendo and Capcom have been releasing a series of free DLC packs for Monster Hunter Generations, but alas all good things must come to an end. January brings the start of another year but the end of the free DLC packs.

The final DLC pack comes packed with some of the deadliest quests in the game, featuring multiple Hyper Monsters back-to-back or even at the same time!

All you need to do is connect your Nintendo 3DS to the Internet and go to the in-game DLC menu to secure 15 new Quests, 15 new Guild Card titles and a fancy new Guild Card background. And don’t forget you can still download all the content from all previously released DLC packs, including quests that unlock the Fire Emblem and Legend of Zelda gear sets and a number of useful Item Packs.

Monster Hunter Generations demo coming June 30th

Today Capcom announced a few new tidbits for the upcoming action RPG Monster Hunter Generations. First and foremost a demo will be making its way to 3DS systems prior to the July 15th launch date.

Two weeks earlier a downloadable demo of Monster Hunter Generations, which features three monsters of varying difficulty levels for both new and experienced players, will be released. The demo will come with options for local and online multiplayer (1-4 players).

Players are encouraged to join up with others and start with the newly introduced Great Maccao, then attempt to face the beguiling new owl-like monster Malfestio, all before truly testing their mettle against the fan-favorite Nargacuga. The demo will be available for all gamers to download on the Nintendo eShop on June 30th.

The Monster Hunter Generations hunt begins July 15th

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Generations will launch in North America on July 15th for the Nintendo 3DS. A NEW Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition also launches on the same day.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition comes in a beautiful blue hue and features artwork of the game’s Fated Four, an elite group of powerful new monsters. Players can get straight into the action with enhanced graphics, fluid camera control options with the C-stick functionality, and mappable ZL and ZR buttons for Hunter Arts offered on New Nintendo 3DS systems.

The new hardware isn’t a bundle however, so the game doesn’t come pre-installed in the hardware. The game will need to be purchased separately from the new hardware.
