Posted on May 14, 2018 by Jason Nason

Inti Creates teased a brand new Gunvolt game for the Nintendo Switch at Bit Summit 2018.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX is a new title in the universe of the Gunvolt series, which began with 2014’s Nintendo 3DS eShop title Azure Striker Gunvolt, which was followed by 2016’s Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. The company also released Azure Striker Gunvolt: The Anime early last year, which is one of the few videos available in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

This new title sees Gunvolt series anti-hero “Copen” take the starring role.

The Inti Creates team is hard at work on this project centering around this popular character from the Gunvolt universe, and more details are to be announced this summer.

Battle with swords and whips in this retro-style action game brought to you by game creator Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates.

In the game you’ll play as Zangetsu, a demon slayer bearing a deep grudge, who must travel through perilous lands to defeat a powerful demon lurking in a dark castle. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon will be released on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Steam. The game will be released on May 24th for $9.99 USD.

Gal*Gun 2 arrives on Switch/PS4 on April 24th

Posted on April 9, 2018 by Jason Nason

The wait for Pantsu Paradise is almost over. Gal*Gun 2, the sequel to gaming’s most feel-good first-person shooter, arrives on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 24th in North America.

Gal*Gun 2 ups the action of Gal*Gun: Double Peace by hurling players into situations even more outrageous than before. When a crazy demon menace is unleashed on the Academy, you must bravely step forward to put an end to the mischief.

Gal*Gun 2 features new girls, new gadgets, new modes and an improved Doki Doki Mode.

Gal*Gun 2 on the Nintendo Switch will also feature optional motion controls in Handheld Mode. Throw yourself into the middle of the action, and beware approaches from all angles.

IMPRESSIONS: Azure Striker Gunvolt (anime)

Posted on February 13, 2017 by Jason Nason

I’ll admit I haven’t had a chance to try either of Inti Creates’ Azure Striker Gunvolt games, though they’ve been on my list for some time. But nevertheless I jumped at the chance to check out their OVA (original video animation) for the series when it was released last week. The anime was originally intended to be released in 2016, but delays pushed back the release to February 9th, 2017.

Having not played either of the two games I wasn’t too sure who the characters were or what was going on exactly, but with the video’s short running time it didn’t really make the anime any less enjoyable to watch. I’m not too sure, but it feels like the anime takes place chronologically in between the two games, based on the story descriptions of the two game.

Azure Striker Gunvolt was a hit 2D action platformer released for the Nintendo 3DS eShop back in 2014 with a sequel released last September. Now the Azure Striker Gunvolt series is striking back onto the scene with an anime adaptation.

It is a standalone OVA that’s about as long as an episode of a TV anime show that features the original Japanese voice cast and a brand new English dub.

Put together by superstar anime studios LandQ Studios and Touhoku Shinkai, the Gunvolt anime presents a scenario that fans of the series will be familiar with while simultaneously presenting a deeper look into the world of Azure Striker Gunvolt.

Sometimes it pays off to follow game publishers on social media

Posted on August 24, 2016 by Jason Nason

If you’re really into the gaming scene and eat up every tidbit of news out there then you probably follow a slew of gaming websites. From the Gamespots to the IGNs, and Kotaku to Broken Joysticks, following gaming news website is a good way to find out anything and everything from the world of video games.

But it can also be good to follow publishers. Not only will you get some juicy news right from the source, which is where a lot of gaming media get their news (spoiler alert) you can also be treated to some sweet online goodies.

Some publishers share exclusive downloadables like wallpapers, but some also give away free stuff including game codes.
