Nintendo of Canada coming to Fan Expo Toronto this weekend

Nintendo of Canada will be at Fan Expo Toronto this weekend, which takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from August 31st – September 3rd. The big N has a lot of activities lined up for people of all ages.

Super Mario Odyssey game will be playable and there will be giveaways, while quantities last. Plus people who pre-order Super Mario Odyssey game at the EB Games booth while at Fan Expo will receive a special edition Super Mario Odyssey poster as a gift with purchase (while supplies last). There will be a playable demo of the game at the convention as well as a Super Mario Odyssey Goomba Stack statue for all visitors to take photos with at the Nintendo booth.

Visitors to the Nintendo booth will have the chance to play other Nintendo games including ARMS, Splatoon 2 and two upcoming games Pokkén Tournament DX, and Metroid: Samus Returns.

Playable games scheduled to appear in the Nintendo booth at Fan Expo Toronto 2017 include Super Mario Odyssey, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Pokkén Tournament DX for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo 3DS title Metroid: Samus Returns will also be playable.

Nintendo announces Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon Dual Pack

During the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas, Nintendo announced a dual pack of the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon games for the Nintendo 3DS. The Dual Pack will be available this fall in the Americas.

“The incredible fans of the Fire Emblem and Pokémon franchises not only love the games themselves, but also the features behind the games,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “These special versions are great options for dedicated fans who want to enjoy all facets of their favorite series, from amazing gameplay to bonus artwork.”

New screens from Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Nintendo released some new screens for their upcoming RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which is being developed by Monolith Software Inc.

In the game you’ll explore an endless ocean of clouds, where the last remnants of civilization live on the backs of colossal beasts called Titans. Experience the story of Rex and his new friend, Pyra, a mysterious being known as a Blade who grants him tremendous power. Together, search for Pyra’s long lost home Elysium, the ultimate paradise for all of humanity.

The game you’ll explore colossal beasts called Titans, the homes of different civilizations, each offering expansive regions to discover. Form powerful bonds with Blades, unique beings granting tremendous power to their users, called Drivers. The game features a deep battle system that builds on triumphs of the Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X games.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is scheduled to be released on the Nintendo Switch this holiday season.
