Star Citizen 2.0 Alpha User Interface Video Blasts-Off

Posted on November 7, 2015 by Rae Michelle Richards

Star Citizen

A video has surfaced from the R/PCGaming sub-reddit that gives us a really in-depth look at the UI for one of the ships in the upcoming Star Citizen. I am really impressed by the level of interactivity that is available – you can check various statistics about your ship and everything is really well animated.  It looks like Star Citizen will be really immersive for fans of the space-flight genre.

I’ll be honest I don’t know what 5% of these statistics and flashy buttons in the video do but as my favorite Starcraft II unit says “What’s with all these blinky lights?”

Check it out in the embedded player below.

World of Warcraft: Legion – Game Systems Panel

Posted on November 7, 2015 by Tamsin Heineman

Article By: Tamsin Skye Heineman

Blizzard revealed some bombshell news today for World of Warcraft: Legion during their panel at Blizzcon. Changes include items, classes, professions, and a full cosmetic unlock system. They’re even adding an option to hide your shoulder slot item. Mainly of note is the ability to unlock an items appearance into a collection simply by owning it.

They revealed that they will go back and unlock the appearance of every quest reward you ever got in the past. This vastly expands the customization options available and will add a large variance of player appearances in game. Tabards, shirts, and weapon enchants were also listed among the cosmetic unlocks as well as the ability to save outfits that change with specialization. Blizzard went above and beyond and made all these unlocks account wide.

Check out the rest of the (huge!) changes and panel slides after the bump!Read More

Posted on November 7, 2015 by Fionna Schweit

Arrowhead game studious has announced that their twin stick shooter Helldivers will be relased for PC via Steam in December.  The game which features fast paced twin stick shooting action set in a future earth environment was previous confined to consoles. Also welcome is the news that the PC release will include all of the current DLC and one unreleased DLC called Democracy Strikes Back.

HELLDIVER is an action-packed, hardcore, top-down, co-op, twin-stick shooter, for 1–4 players, single and multiplayer, local co-op, with any mix of online or offline. Set in a dystopian future where mankind is ruled by a managed democracy, as part of the elite unit called the HELLDIVERS, players must work together to protect Super-Earth and defeat the enemies of humanity in an intense intergalactic war.

CEO and Game Director, Johan Pilestedt, says: “We are thrilled to be releasing HELLDIVERS™ on PC our fourth game so far and for the platform which we first started developing games on. We have done our very best to ensure that the game will feel as good as possible when played on PC. With a wide range of graphic options, rebindable keys and an added text chat, we hope that we will meet the expectations which players have of a PC title.
