At the Playstation press conference at Gamescom today, Sony and SuperBot Entertainment unveiled four new characters today: Ratchet & Clank, DmC’s Dante, Ape Escape’s Spike and LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy.

Spike is one the protagonist of the Ape Escape series. He utilizes the various weapons he used to apprehend the monkeys and even has a special move where a monkey assists him. His level 3 has him shoot down a beam from a satellite up in space.

Sackboy is one of the iconic characters one thinks of when Playstation 3 is mentioned from the LittleBigPlanet franchise. He utilizes various objects from his series (even the menu where you select stickers makes an apperance). His level 3 seems to involve  turning all the players into prize bubbles and if he pops them KOs them.

Ratchet & Clank appear as one unit (Clank is on Ratchet’s back) in the game just like Jak and Daxter. Ratchet’s main gameplay involve shooting various guns from his series. One of his specials has you controlling Clank and he traps the other plays in what looks to be electric bubbles. Their level 3 involve them jumping on a ship and firing at the other heroes from a first person point of view (almost like Solid Snake’s final smash except his was over the shoulder).

The last character in an interesting choice, was Ninja Theory’s DmC Dante. This Dante utilizes his sword, scythe and gun in stylish ways that Dante has been known for. His level 3 has him using his devil trigger which makes him take the appearance of the classic Dante (red jacket and white hair) time seems to slow down as Dante is shown moving normally and the others are slowly moving about.
