Welcome To Broken Joysticks

First off, welcome to Broken Joysticks. The secretive cabal behind this fine website is unified by a mutual love for videogames. We wish to spread the love as it were, blessing acolytes for their devotion to gaming. The people behind Broken Joysticks are not fresh faced newbies when it comes to the gaming industry. Many of us have worked in the industry for many years and have written for sites like TeamXbox, Voodoo Extreme and Gamespot. At the end of the day we are passionate gamers who enjoy the medium. To that end we’ve arranged a massive series of giveaways and contests to mark the month of May.

We’ll be giving away at least three games, generously donated by developers and publishers, every weekday in May. The details for the daily giveaways will differ, but you can expect a post everyday explaining what we’ll be giving away. Generally, these giveaways will be in the form of codes, which you may find hidden away in places like our articles, twitter, and steam group.

However, we’ll have contests as well. Speaking of which, you can enter into a contest for a signed copy of Gears of War 3 here. Don’t forget to register an account in order to win the signed copy of Gears of War 3. You’ll need it to submit your entry!

Our approach to content is a little different from some of the big, corporate owned, alternatives. We know that you can find timely news at one of the monolithic gaming sites out there but we hope that you will stay with because we’re truly awesome. That’s not just us being full of ourselves: each of the nine members of BrokenJoysticks have their own unique interests, tastes and opinions and we look forward to sharing them with you in our reviews, editorials and news coverage.

While you’re here why not check out some of our awesome launch coverage. We will be adding new articles over the next few days so make sure to keep your eyes peeled on the large slider at the top of the page!
