Microtransactions Outpacing Game Sales Sets a Worrying Precedent

You might have already heard the news yesterday: Ubisoft mentioned on their Investor’s Call that “Player Recurring Investments” (read: microtransactions) have outpaced the sale of full price and discounted digital copies of their games for the first time ever. Rumor: GTA V Online To Feature Microtransactions

By exploiting a glitch that allows players to access the store section of Grand Theft Auto V players have gained access to some files stored on RockStar’s servers.
