Labyrinth of Wonderland Destined for North American eShop?

Posted on January 24, 2016 by Jason Nason

First came Adventure Bar Story, then came the sequel Mercenaries Saga 2. And it now looks like the third game in the series might be on the way.

Developed by Rideon, the third game in the series Labyrinth of Wonderland could be on the way. Rideon Japan opened up the website for the game today and the game is listed as releasing in Japan in February. While it’s not confirmed that the game will be making its way to North America anytime soon, it’s likely that Circle will be bringing that game here shortly.

Circle Entertainment recently tweeted that a “Japanese adventure story game” had been approved at lotcheck by Nintendo of America. They also retweeted Rideon’s tweet about the game website launching in Japan.

Posted on January 24, 2016 by Fionna Schweit

Upcoming first person co-operative shooter Space Hulk: deathwing has a new trailer featuring its fearsome Terminators.  The “Rise of the Terminators” trailer features the games protagonists the Death Wings chapter of the Black Angels of the fighting against all manner of the Xenos Tryanids. The Trailer features a good look at both the Enemies and the terminators.

Space hulk is a board game published by Games Workshop, where a group of terminators are trapped on a drifting hulk of an ancient star ship with a group of Tryanids. The board game has also seen two turn based PC game releases in the last 10 years, the last of which (also called space hulk) was quite good if you are a fan of Turn Based RPG games.

This game looks to be much more action based, following on the heels of the successful release of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide this game is also a squad based tactical FPS which will feature a series of weapons, and an RPG like unlock system for player abilities. Focus home interactive have a good handle on the War Hammer licenses, having published both very good Blood Bowl games.

Hit the jump for the new trailer and be sure to check out our review when the game releases!

Mario & Sonic amiibo at the Olympic Games

Posted on January 24, 2016 by Jason Nason

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be released on March 18th, and this year you’ll be able to take your amiibo to the Olympics.

When the action-filled game launches for Nintendo 3DS, both Mario and Sonic amiibo figures will be compatible. By tapping the Mario or Sonic amiibo figures to the New Nintendo 3DS system (or on a Nintendo 2DS/3DS with the NFC Reader/Writer accessory), players can boost Mario and Sonic’s outfits with that character’s power for the day.

Basically it looks like this means that you can power up your Mii character in the game and put on Mario or Sonic outfits. It’s a little odd that only Sonic and Mario amiibo are comparable with the game, especially considering there are far more characters in the game who have corresponding amiibo.

While virtually every incarnation of Mario can be tapped (Mario from the Smash series, Dr. Mario, Mario from the Mario Party series, Gold Mario and both classic / modern Super Mario Bros 30th Anniversary series), no other amiibo are compatible.

Why aren’t Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, or Bowswer amiibo compatible? This seems like a huge oversight and very disappointing amiibo compatibility.
