Soul Calibur V Costume DLC Starts Next Month

Posted on March 19, 2012 by Rae Michelle Richards

Namco Bandai will begin releasing costume pieces for January’s Soul Calibur V starting next month. These brand new costumes might just catch on, especially in Japan where schoolgirl outfits and maid costumes are popular fetishes.

The upcoming optional additional costumes are part of a broader update Namco Bandai has promised for their flagship fighter. The patch brings new additions to the game’s online mode as well as 240 other additional fixes according to the latest trailer released by the publisher.

If you’re not into Japanese culture the school phys-ed outfits, as well as the maid costumes, might seem like a bit much. Namco is certainly targeting a certain demographic with this latest update.

Make sure to watch the trailer below until the end. Their second costume update (scheduled for some time in May) may bring cross overs from Pac Man (!) and Tekken Franchise.
