Lightning Returns to Final Fantasy

As if we didn’t get enough of the Final Fantasy XIII goodness, we get another call to action from Square Enix. Tonight, Square Enix formally announces LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII. This will be the final game in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy.

If you head over to visit Square Enix’s site, you will find a video of Yoshinori Kitase explaining about a crystal and more about the game itself. Kitase tells us, instead of doing a trailer for the game, there will be “multiple presentations” that will be shown throughout the site, beginning September 4th.

Over at Kotaku, there seems to be some art from the game that they didn’t show from the game. You can see some of the pretty cool artwork at the bottom of the page. There is no release date or even gameplay footage of the game. So, be sure to check out Broken Joysticks when we will have more to cover when we see more of the game.
