Did you miss out on Keiji Inafune’s last post mega man project, Soul Sacrifice? Sony has posted this latest Vita exclusive role-playing game for all PlayStation Plus subscribers to enjoy. We don’t know how long the game will be available so you should grab it as soon as possible – sometimes free games are available for a few months and other times they’re gone after only a few short weeks.
The install clocks in at about 1.8 GBs, so if you are still using one of the 4GB memory cards that often ships with the PlayStation Vita you might be in a bit of trouble.Posted in: Sony Tags: Download, Free Game, PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Store, ps vita, PSN, Soul Sacrifice
The Xbox One launched in 13 markets with 22 games available at launch, 10 of those being exclusive titles. But what does the future hold for the Xbox One? Microsoft has released a new trailer showing off what it has in store for gamers in the months to come. Titles like Titanfall, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Fable Legends to name a few.
A few of these will be exclusive and some will have exclusive content first on Xbox One. Which of these titles are you most excited about?Posted in: Microsoft, News Tags: Dying Light, EA Sports UFC, Fable Legends, Final Fantasy 15, Halo Xbox One, Kinect Sports Rivals, Kingdoms Hearts 3, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Microsoft, Plants Vs. Although there have been reports of the Xbox One having issues, that’s not stopped it from selling over 1 million consoles in less that 24 hours. Following similar success from the Playstation 4 it looks as if both consoles are off to a great start. In the UK, the Xbox One sold over 150,000 consoles which is double the figure of the Xbox 360′s launch numbers – and puts it just a few thousand units away from topping the Wii U’s lifetime sales in the UK (which launched December 2012).
Other interesting stats over the first 24 hours…
- Over 60 million zombies have been killed in Dead Rising 3
- Over 3.6 million miles were driven in Forza Motorsport 5
- Over 7.1 million combos were pulled off in Killer Instinct
- Over 8.5 million enemies have been defeated in Ryse: Son of Rome
- Over 43.3 million Fit Points were earned in Xbox Fitness
While both consoles have had isolated hardware issues, it’s great to see both platforms start off solid. Reviews and impressions of the Xbox One and games are on the way, so stay tuned!
Traveller’s Tales, creator of the fantastic LEGO games, has announced today a new LEGO game based off a popular book series that you may have heard of…LEGO The Hobbit. While some may see these as kids games, I’ll have to give TT credit because the last few games (LEGO Batman 2, LEGO Marvel, LEGO Lord of the Rings), have been exceptionally fun – yes, even for a “kids game”.Posted in: Microsoft, News, Nintendo, PC, Sony Tags: 3ds, Lego, LEGO The Hobbit, Mac, PC, PS3, PS4, Traveller's Tales, vita, Wii U, Xbox One
Owners of Microsoft’s recently released Xbox One console are reporting a very particular issues – a grinding disc drive that fails to read discs properly. We don’t know how widespread the issue is, as the console is only 48 hrs old as of the writing of this article, but Kotaku reports at least 4 different YouTube videos outlining the same issue with the disc drives. Similarly they also received over a hundred different emails from readers who were affected by the busted disk drives –heck gaming mega site IGN also reported that one of their console had the same problem.
Regardless of how widespread the DVD drive issues are, Microsoft has promised to take care of all those affected. In a rather lengthy quote, as reported by VG 247, a spokesperson for Microsoft outlined the various ways that gamers can get a hold of them should their console break. Atlus has released a very cryptic trailer for the newest entry in their Shin Megami Tensei franchise, the highly anticipated Persona 5. A very brief trailer was posted online today, which reveals little about the title. In the less than minute long trailer we see five chairs fade into existence against a red backdrop. The only readable text (for those not fluent in Japanese) teases us about being slaves and craving emancipation – honestly we are just as confused you are at this point.
Persona 5 is currently in development and is scheduled to release sometime in 2014 for the PlayStation 3 in Japan with no solid details for a western release. Those of you hoping for a next-generation Persona are out luck for the time being, but this move shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. The last main game in the series, Persona 4, was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2008 – two years after the release of the PS3! It was also ported to the PlayStation Vita with several improvements as Persona 4: Golden last year.
Check out the teaser trailer for yourself after the jump. (more…)Posted in: News, Sony Tags: Announcement, Atlus, Game Reveal, Index Corp, Persona 5, PS3, Sega
